Sometimes I just need to remember that God is greater than any of my problems, sins, or anything that is weighing me down.
When you look to American super-heroes, you don’t find that spiritual relief. They all try to entertain the GENERAL audience. They throw out morals and add the elements that the public enjoys. What they seem to be doing is feeding our sinful natures. We like to see the stuff they present because that’s what we desire. We desire temporary things. Things that ultimately send us to hell.
That’s where Jesus comes in. Most super-heroes are being brought down to human level. Jesus was as human as you or me. He was God as a man. He did amazing works. He did the work and used the power of God. He went through unbearable times when He went to the cross for us. We didn’t deserve it, but He did it anyways. Nobody asked Him to save them. He did it anyways.
Part of becoming a Christian is knowing we are worse than filthy rags (Isaiah 64:6). Yet God offers us Salvation with the only condition that we trust and put our faith in Him. I mean, how do you expect Him to work through us and make us like Jesus if we are always trying to keep ourselves like we are? God makes us more! He trains us and puts through hard times to build us into His likeness!
Next time you see a so-called super-hero, remember what God has done through His Son Jesus, and act like Him, and make Him your role model every day!
Also with your end-of-the-month rewards, there will be a process jpeg with how I made the picture above!
